Question:
I've been waxing my upper lip and chin myself for a while now. It
hurts, and stays red for a few hours, but it stays cleaner longer than
any other method I've tried. Plus since I do it myself I save alot of
money. I didn't see any mention of waxing in the recent thread about
hair removal. Is there a reason you all don't wax?? I'm interested if
there is a down side that I don't know about.
Answer:
-I've had my brows waxed a couple of times, only because it looks so nice right
afterwards. But I've heard that the skin on the brow area and the upper lip is
fairly thin, and the repeated pulling can encourage wrinkling. But leg wrinkles
don't matter, so I wax them with abandon... -A great way to wax is by using Sweet Simplicity or another "sugaring" wax.
It's SO much cleaner and simpler than traditional wax, which tends to stick to
EVERYTHING and is near impossible to remove. The sugaring waxes just wash away
in warm water. Ahhhh. So convenient! Although....they seem to be better in
removing finer hair than coarser hair. That's just been my experience
