Has anyone here tried laser hair removal? Did it work? Does it hurt? Was it
all worth it? Would you do it again?
Answer:
I have had it done on bikini line, armpits, and (dare i say it) toes.
all with FABULOUS results. there are many different lasers on the market and the first one i went
to was HELL. i left there in tears (and with burns!) every time. then
my spa chick got a new 'genesis' system which is still a little
uncomfortable but you can get your doc to write you a script for 4%
xylecaine to apply to the treated area if you are really wimpy. (i'm
really wimpy and am able to bear this new laser).
there are many different lasers on the market now and i'm sure the
facility will do a 'free or near free' demo on you first to see how
you like it.
you do have to have multiple treatments but it is really worth it.
also, some lasers are not great on dark or black skin as they will
scar/burn, but these newer lasers get past that.
after about 6 months (one month apart tx) i had a few stragglers that
pop up from time to time but so much better than shaving! after 2
years of occasional touch ups i don't shave anymore! i just thought of
the $$$ as it being a car payment monthly..(or how much you might
spend on diapers) plus you get the permanent benefit of being
hair-free. i highly recommend it.
