I had a laser hair removal treatment on the evening of April 20

Question:
I had a laser hair removal treatment on the evening of April 20. On the morning of the 21st, I saw little pink pinpricks down my neck, where the laser had been. I just figured it was residual from the laser treatment. It's gotten redder, itchier, and more tender since then. The laser people say they've never seen a reaction like this. My GP is treating it as an allergic reaction, with Benadryl and methylprednisolone.

Answer:
-When I had my laser hair removal I was advised to use the clear pure aloe vera lotion (Fruit of the Earth brand is the one I used) on my skin to relieve irritation and help the skin recover. I didn't have any adverse effects and the use of the aloe vera may be why. My skin is usually very easily irritated and I break out easily. -Wash your hair with prell concentrate or hand dishwashing soap and make last rinse with 1/4 cup white vinegar to quart water. Moosh it around a little and rinse with clear water. Change your pillowcase, too. You may have residue from hair conditioners, shampoo, spray, etc. that is irritating that tender skin.
