Question:
I have had two treatments so far and very pleased with the results
(but don't know the name of the system being used. I was told that the
laser would feel like an elastic band snapping against the skin but it
is more like a shot of hot needles. Fortunately, it passes very
quickly (withing 2-3 seconds). After two treatments I have very little
hair re-growth and am scheduled for four more sessions, which should
eliminate all hair in the area being treated. It definitely beats
shaving and waxing!
Please elaborate on the Alexandrite laser. Is it truly
effective? Doctors only? Cost?
Answer:
-Were you told anything about its permanency? Like after X number of
treatments the odds that it would be permanent were 90% or something?
I had called one company that does the laser, and they emphasized that they
could not call it a permanent treatment, that average regrowth was within 3
months. No way was I going to fork over $1300 for just 3 months -Laser Hair Removal with the Alexandrite laser systems is effective, however,
I believe it should go without saying that the technician or doctoe
performing the treatment is just as important as the equipment itself. The
benefit of the Alexandrite laser is the fact that it provides the proper
depth of penetration so it terminates the follicles that are deeper which
are most. If you're looking for hair removal then look for the Gentlelase
laser by Candela. I live in the Philadelphia area and I go to a place called
Image Enhancement Associates which is located just outside of Philadelphia
and they do a pretty good job for me. Also try the website for Candella, it
might be under Gentlelase.com
