Question:
I am trying to find practitioners for Epilight method laser hair
removal in the NY/NJ area. Any info. would help.
I'd rather not start another thread or discussion on the merits,
risks, etc., of this method.
Answer:
-I just started doing electro on a client that had left me for 9 months. He
was convinced softlight laser would be an easy way out.
He had 10 treatments for $1400. Results were very poor ; I can't tell that
any beard hair is gone, though it is smaller and easier to treat with
electrolysis.
Hate to see anyone think that laser hair removal is permanent.
-I have no connection with the hair removal industry. I'm not an electrologist.
I write commercials for a living, and I can smell a line of bullshit from a
mile away.
When the laser scams first came out in 1995, I tried to warn people that they
hype was too good to be true, since I knew our community would be most
vulnerable to the sales hype. I started collecting data and consumer
experiences. In 1999, people (well, some people) are staring to listen as these
companies pay damages in class action suits, etc.
I provide free information for consumers so they can make more informed
decisions. I even provide tips for laser treatment and contact information for
all major manufacturers.
The contact information on my page will put you in touch with a NJ/NY EpiLight
practitioner.
There's a Vanishing Point franchise in Manhattan somewhere. They'll do you up
right if you can get in. They have a long waiting list, just like ThermoLase
had back before they were forced to sell off all their spas.
I don't care if you decide to risk your time and money on something quite
likely to yield 100% regrowth a year after you're "done." That's why I include
contact info. As long as you know the risks going in, caveat emptor, and all
that.
