I wondered if some who have had laser hair removal before could share your
experiences with me. I have been looking into it and reading up on it. I
think I am ready to do it, but don't know where to start. How do I go about
finding someone reputable to do it? Do I call my dermatologist?
Answer:
I obtained a list from my derm for a different procedure and then her nurse
told me which doctors the nurses seemed to prefer. That guy also did laser
hair removal so I stuck with that office for the hair procedure. I didn't
bother to compare prices although I probably should have.
As it turned out, the hair removal procedure was performed by nurses after
the initial consult with the dr. Pain was tolerable as long as I used a lot
of the topical creme beforehand and if the nurse was amenable to icing the
area the pain was practically nonexistent. You can also take an oral
pain-reliever beforehand if you like.
