Question:
Anyone know of some good web sites on laser hair removal?
I went to the only dermatologist in town who has one and talked with
them about getting some hair removed.
Just for my back they wanted $1,800, and I have very little hair on my
back. That was for a year and you can go every week if you want.
I'd rather be charged by the hour and pay as i go.
I cant remember what type of laser it is but it has a red beam and it's
called Chromos 694.
I'm going to start looking in Chicago and Iowa City next to see if they
have newer, better and less expensive lasers.
Answer:
I had laser done to my face using the Candela GentleLase Alexandrite Laser
which had been improved upon by adding a better varying degree/depth laser,
AND a fractional second burstof some freezing agent that cooled the skin
just prior to the laser zapping me. In comparison to the little bit of
electrolysis I had done last year, the pain is about half and the
redness/swelling/dryness, etc. was gone before I walked out of the building.
My fee schedule was $600 for the first treatment, $300 for the second, $150
for the third, and any other treatments I might want done costs only $75. I
thought the price was kinda average to fair for my area (Denver, Colorado)
as far as laser work being done, but the time involved to do my entire face
and neck was approx. 20 minutes plus a previous 15-20 minute counseling and
test patch. Some other TS girls in my area have gone to the company and had
wonderful results, too. By the way, I had Asian skin tone with dark, black
hairs (born in Bangkok, Thailand). My SO had the area under chin done for
only $300, but she had the ideal skin/hair combination of very light skin
and dark hairs.
