Question:
has anyone tried laser on facial hair
I'm considering getting my facial hair removed and wanted to know if
anyone had any expererience with it they'd like to share,..thanks in advance,
Answer:
I have had 4 sessions with photoepilation on my face. I have had three
seesions in total that were from head to toe.
It has gotten most of the dark hair so that it comes in finer than it
was. It has not done much with the gray hair though. I did buy a
substance that I have not tried yet that is supposed to dye the folicles
to direct the light into them. I have heard that it works.
Overall, I am happy that I spent the money that I did so far. The hair
growth on my legs is only about half of what it was, and while it is not
all gone, it is noticably less than it was, and for that I am thankful.
You will find that the pain in the extremities, like the arms and legs
is almost non existent. You hardly feel anything at all.
It did wonders for my facial skin. I always had a good complexion, but
it made my skin even softer and smoother. I really liked that aspect.
A caveate though for facial. It can be very painful. The pain decreases
as the hair becomes thinner. The pain is especially intense around the
chin and mouth areas, as that seems to be where the hair is the
coarsest. I have found that the topical solution that is suggested does
not really work, as it only numbs the surface of the skin but the pain
is in the deeper parts where the folicles are.
The pain is intense, but very short lived, so save your money, and just
grin and bear it. The darker your hair is the more success you will have
with it.
To prepare, just shave the night before so that you have a five o'clock
shadow (if you get those, fortunately, I do not).
