Question:
I am trying to find practitioners for Epilight method laser hair
removal in the NY/NJ area. Any info. would help.
I'd rather not start another thread or discussion on the merits,
risks, etc., of this method.
Answer:
-I have ESC Medical's contact information at the bottom of my EpiLight page:
http://members.aol.com/jokestress/epilight.html
It's right after the part exposing flaws in their patent which contradict their
efficacy claims, info from their FDA clearance saying they are substantially
equivalent to the proven temporary SoftLight laser, and similar to a bogus
electric tweezer, two short-term clinical studies showing regrowth of 55%
within 3 months and no follow up on when the rest grew back, links to photos of
severe hypopigmentation in TS patients, and a bunch of patient experiences that
are less than impressive.
I haven't added anything on the dozen class-action suits filed against them
this fall for SEC violations regarding delayed reporting of poor sales.
-I just started doing electro on a client that had left me for 9 months. He
was convinced softlight laser would be an easy way out.
He had 10 treatments for $1400. Results were very poor ; I can't tell that
any beard hair is gone, though it is smaller and easier to treat with
electrolysis.
Hate to see anyone think that laser hair removal is permanent.
