Question:
Long time no post.
I've had great success with laser hair removal but still need the annual bit
of 'spotting' for new hair. At 1GBP per shot it soon reaches the 150GBP
cost of the advertised 'EPILA' home semiconductor laser.
Has anyone had experience of this product? Are there any other affordable
home laser pens for individual hairs that actually work?
Answer:
-I have not even heard of the EPILA, can you tell me more about it?
I researched but could not find a store that carries it, loads on the
web but if Only on the Web this usually means a product that does not
work adequately.
What price is 1GBP? in dollars? -Just a follow up: I bought one on ebay for 150 UK pounds (say 270 Dollars).
It does fry individual black hairs and produces that familiar stinging
sensation which indicates thermalosis.
The only problem for those used to modern clinical lasers, it only does
one hair at a time and requires care to focus the narrow beam on the hair
base. It takes practice to produce the stinging sensation without several
goes.
By the way, you should see how it burns black plastic; wow!.
With patience it's ok for spotting but not much use for initial clearance
