Question:
I was wondering what is the best home electrolysis kit for under $100
and under $50. What do you recommend. I want to get one just to be able to
do a bit of clean up etc. What do you recommend
Answer:
-No home kit is going to do a very good job, despite what many desperate
people on here would have you believe. For example, the tweezer kits do
not work at all, and cannot, for sound technical reasons.
You can, however, buy home kits which are a mini-version of what a
professional would use. That is, they have a 'needle', which you have to
insert down the side of each hair until you connect with the hair root, at
which point you zap it with a small electric current. The problem is, they
are very underpowered for dealing with tough male hair, and they are
extremely slow and difficult to use.
They do work though, so if you're determined, and blessed with the
patience of a saint, go ahead and buy one.
-The most popular option is the Inverness One Touch for
about US $20-35 at most major drug chains and beauty
supply stores.
Remember, in order to have permanent results, you must
use a device where a probe is inserted into the follicle.
Electric tweezers, etc. have not been proven permanent.
I do not personally recommend home electrolysis, but I
have gathered this information for those who feel it is
their best available option.
